Who are the people behind Brevana Capital Group?
The Brevana Capital Group investment team is comprised of local area investors, entrepreneurs, angels, and business professionals. If you would like to discuss investment opportunities to invest along side of us please contact us to discuss.
What are the investment criteria?
We look at lots of criteria. Important ones include the product, the market size and the market segment, the business model, the company’s early traction and of course the team. We are attracted to original, innovative uses of technology – but also to business models that have been proven to work. We have a strong bias for great products, big markets, signs of early traction and a clear route for monetization, but we don’t expect everything to be perfect. We also like to invest in existing companies for equity investments or to allow ownership to take cash off of the table – providing us with long term cash flow retun.
What support can I expect beyond money?
Brevana Capital Group can assist with board level support but does not actively participate in our portfolio companies. We look for solid management teams and will help to fill the gap if we need to but long term we will not be taking an active role in the business.
How do I get in touch with Brevana Capital Group and what materials should I send?
Just send us an email or submit the request form on our site. (links to both) Although we get a large number of inquiries we read each and every one and try to reply in a timely manner.
If you have materials to send and would like to execute a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) we will be happy to provide that you in advance.
How many investments do you make?
On average we will look to invest in less than 10 opportunities per year.
What is the typical investment size?
The size of our investment depends on the needs of the individual company. Typically we look at opportunities seeking between
$100,000 and $2,500,000.
Are you open to co-invest together with other investors?
Absolutely. We’ve co-invested with a variety of angels and investment groups as well as VC firms and we can also help you recruit additional investors for your round if you seek additional funding.
